About Me
My name is Drew Anderson and I come from America. My home state is called Idaho. In Idaho, I live in a small town surrounded by mountains, and a massive lake. Over the years I have spent most of my time outdoors hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, and swimming in the lake. My love for rural mountainous regions inspired me to see the hill tribe life in Thailand. Not only the environment, but also the tribe culture furthered my interest in living in a hill tribe for an extended period of time. Essentially this is my gap year. After I finished my bachelors degree, I decided to take a year off before attending law school. Once in law school I plan on pursuing environmental law.

Seeing the Sites in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Posted By Drew Anderson on 24 Apr 2014
Once exiting the Phnom Penh airport there was an immediate sense of the recent recovery after an era of the Khmer Rouge. The infrastructure is a mix between a grey past, and a modern flavor. While the buildings of previous generations stand, there is a growth of new buildings with modern style. Everywhere you go the people are generous, and kind, always smiling. Never was there an instance that I felt excluded from the local culture.
