Health and Wellbeing

SDG 6

SDG 3

SDG 1

Inspire a Healthy Lifestyle

The World Health Organization states that at least half of the world’s population cannot obtain essential health services. A lack of even the most basic resources and access to public health programmes in disadvantaged communities has resulted in children and adults alike suffering from poor personal hygiene, a limited understanding of sexual health, and diseases being far more prevalent.

In our Health & Wellbeing Impact Area, you’ll support our charity, the FutureSense Foundation, to work with local communities, raising awareness around key health topics. You’ll lead interactive activities on topics such as clean water and sanitation, nutrition, and personal hygiene.

If you want to be a part of something bigger and help improve health education quality then join us and make an impact!

Where You Can Make Your Impact!

Cambodia

Cambodia

In Cambodia, we work with learners to support living healthier lives. We aim to reduce preventable illnesses such as waterborne illnesses by leading activities based on water sanitation and food safety. We also aim to reduce stigma surrounding female hygiene and menstruation by providing a safe space to discuss self-care, hygiene, and reproduction with young women in the community and in schools.

Tanzania

Tanzania

In Tanzania, there are major issues with the health system and the provision of infrastructure to allow for clean water and health promotion. You’ll be working with local learners to deliver health awareness activities to improve their basic health and hygiene skills and raise awareness of disease transmission, female health, and hand washing. Through these activities, you will be empowering learners to pursue education, helping to improve health education quality.

Thailand

Thailand

In Thailand, droughts and power cuts restrict access to clean water, while floods heighten contamination risks. We work with learners to engage them in proper WASH practices to prevent illness, conserve water, and ensure drinking water safety. Additionally, we address micro-nutrient malnutrition, common in rural areas, by raising awareness on nutrition and healthy lifestyles in our partner schools and communities.

Peru

In Peru, 44% of the rural population are living in poverty and lack access to basic healthcare facilities while most schools don’t teach about nutrition, contributing to both malnutrition and high body mass. We run health-based activities to raise awareness of nutrition and well-being, supporting local learners in living a healthy active lifestyle.
